Rising above the quiet Norfolk landscape, Sky Above Broom captures the haunting beauty of an old water tower standing against time and weather. Layers of texture and expressive brushwork echo the corrosion, resilience, and quiet dignity of forgotten industrial forms — a recurring theme in James Preston’s exploration of memory and landscape.

Each mark and stroke in this piece reflects a moment of controlled chaos, with subtle transitions of light revealing both decay and grace. The painting invites the viewer to pause, to sense the stillness between nature and structure — where man-made purpose fades, and poetic silence begins.

Now available as a limited edition print, this artwork is part of a hand-numbered collection of just 25. Printed on museum-grade archival paper with rich, true-to-original colour, each piece captures the texture and movement of the original painting.
